40s VTG Women’s DENIM CHORE JACKET Trench Coat Work Farm Jean Duster Selvedge

Vintage 1940s era women’s denim shop coat with original belt. Has mismatched buttons - some look military and some mother of pearl. There is selvedge on the back of the belt loops and rear vent. Buttons on the left. Medium dark wash. Found on a Texas farm filled with loads of welding equipment. Does not have any markings or tags. Has an old rusty safety pin on the collar.
Nice roomy size that can be belted to fit a range depending how you wear it. Shown on a women’s size small mannequin. Measures like a modern L/XL but see measurements below.
Pre owned, shows general wear and distress. Has fraying, discoloration and small holes in areas throughout but overall is nice and presentable looking. One of the buttons is cracked and the bottom one feels hardened but they all are present. The belt has nice hardware. Has not been recently cleaned but I did heat steam it. Has a slightly starched feel.
